Hyski & WOGL

Last evening on 98.1 more than once I heard Hyski promoting his radio station and internet site on Big Ron's show. Anyone else hear this? Are these spots part of the settlement? I thought the spots sounded good.<P ID="signature">______________

I don't know but he had a great show im only 29 years old and I love 50's music I listen to his internet show all the time.its the best I wish we had a radio staion like that.what did wogl put on in his place I have not had a chance to listen to wogl on sunday night after 7:00 in the last couple of weeks but I will ths sunday night

All right cool cats & finger poppin daddy's lol. I can tell you this much last sunday hy lit's 1st sunday off 98 Tommy McCarthy the former overnight jock at the station was on in hy's old spot. He played all the old music that hy use to play on 98 & he still referred to the show as the Hall Of Fame Show. the real question to ask yourself now is was th is just a one week thing. The reason i say that is this sunday there will be no show do 98 non-stop holiday music. Now next week when we switch into the new year WOGL could say lets dump this music & go back to the greatest hits of the 60s & 70s. I'm only 22 & i love the music hy plays too because i grew up listening to him on WPGR & then at WOGL all these years. Everytime i hear him playin this music it takes me back to the early days of Oldies 98 with Don Cannon, Mike St. John, Hy Lit, Charlie Bennett, Harvey Holiday, Christy Springfield, & Frank Cranle. WOGL has been my WIBG or Famous 56 growing up & its a shame to see it being runnied by Anne Gress. Hope this helps guys!

Re: You Have More Than Most People

You have with Hylitradio.com what other people wish they had. An internet station with music based in your own region. You can listen to the hits that were played in the Delaware Valley during the golden years of rock and roll. The only other station that I know of that does that is

http://oldies.about.com/gi/dynamic/...alkerpub.com/jukebox_songs.html#anchor2365215

They are a local New Orleans based station. Also programmed by a local celebrity dee jay. But Hy plays the national hits that were big as well as the local. The New Orleans station just likes to play local New Orleans rock and roll or Swamp Pop.

Hy Lit Radio rocks! Is Tommy McCarthy going to be in that time slot now? It wouldn't be a bad choice, since he does a great job with the early days of Rock n' Roll. Then again, they could give Harvey the full five for Street Corner Sunday, like he used to have.

New Year's Day will be a non-issue, since they are doing the time machine. Time will tell what management decides to do.
