For once.....ha!

But really, all kidding aside, I thought this was a nice sentiment. We can be nice to each other here, at least for a week and then once 2006 comes, we can go back to telling each other how wrong we all are.

Merry Christmas!

Yea, that's right, I said it, Merry Christmas!

But seriously, if I can be a sap for a moment.......

I want to wish all of you a wonderful holiday season. We may not all be friends, but we all share this crazy passion for what we do and at the end of the day, we're all human.

We all have our little bubble on this planet that we share with our families and friends and over the weekend I hope that each and every one of you takes the time to celebrate and cherish that.

I lost a beloved family member just a few days ago and that really hits home, especially at the holidays. No need for sympathy or pity, but really makes you realize that anything can happen.

We may not always agree, but we all share one common bond and that's love.

I hope that you all get to spend some time with the ones you love and have the chance to tell them how you feel. Pick up the phone and call someone you haven't talked to in a while. Tell them what they mean to you. Give a lot of hugs and kisses 'cause you just never know what will happen tomorrow.

All the best to you and yours.

It's always the people you almost take for granted. Like parents, relatives or close friends who suddenly are gone and then you realize what really makes Christmas, Hannukah or any holiday season celebration so special: Knowing there was always one more person in this world who loves you.

You could go it alone in this world with no family and for many years, I have. But there will always a massive hole in life that some people-including myself at one point-try to cover up with hard drugs and alcohol. Not a solution, but it beats being lonely and sober on Christmas Eve. I lived like that for a few years. A very cold and painful life. And I honestly didn't think it was going to get any better (I really, really hated the '90s.)

Both of my parents are gone. All I have is my wife, her family and our daughters and they are everything to me and I am nothing without them. I am still alive and in good health today because of them. They saved me from myself. And that takes a HELL of lot more than a sterile treatment facility and positive lip service. It takes the purest, most sincerest kind of love and devotion to another human being. And it is now, looking at my life now and where I was on Christmas 6 years ago, lonely and seriously contemplating suicide to now, surrounded by family and friends who love and respect me to the point of adoration-more than I can ever repay.

It was also on Christmas Eve that I proposed to my wife, that makes Christmas that much more special to us.

But to me in general,..hey, it's just party time! Cheers!

Happy Holidays To All!!
