I always tell people this

If Randy Michaels ran radio as a whole people wouldn't want the internet, television, blu ray, or peep shows in x rated movie stores.

The problem with radio is the influx of inbred thinking that can't come up with new ideas. Michaels has a new more innovative idea everyday.

And when he helps talent and tells them to stop saying stupid things" "It's 52 at the airport, no one LIVES at the airport!" someone blogs it. I think this is structure envy.

Why not place him on a pedestal for being involved.

BTW..Feder is an idiot.

I would love to meet and work with this Randy Michaels. And I totally agree with your comment. I know I would stop with the porn if radio was worth listening too :D

But in all seriousness, it would be nice to work with this Randy. Coming from the PD side of things, I couldn't get anything done with my plastic GM micromanaging me. What a huge breath of fresh air it would be to work with someone who has a creative thought process. I maybe could've actually learned something instead of being so pissed all the time.

I'm curious as to what those ideas are. Are those innovative ideas being implemented? If not, why waste time on coming up with ideas in the first place? Radio is going to stay the way it is regardless of creative and/or innovative ideas. Unless those ideas entail saving money and doing less work I doubt if the suits will care about them. The only way to change that is to somehow weaken the market as a whole thus forcing the corporations to sell and THEN mainstream those new and innovative ideas (good luck with all of that) or to create laws that are not in corporate America's best interest. There are those (more than you might think) that believes the Government should step in and take control so ma and pa's can have a fighting chance again. When that happens take a video camera to Simi Valley because Ronald Reagan is going to open his casket and turn over in his grave for everyone.
