I am Going in Heart surgery next week.

Best of luck to you my friend :) I wish you a speedy recovery. I have never read your posts as I didn't know about you until I saw the headline. I have never had heart surgery, hopefully that day will never come for me but you are in my thoughts. While you are recovering here is something interesting to try, works best if your room is on a higher floor. take a standard radio preferably an old style boombox with a long antenna and place it toward the window. This may sound like common sense but when I had leg surgery back in 2000 I was in downtown DC in the morning I could get stations from Southern Maryland as clear as a bell but had I been on the ground they would have been impossible to pick up at night the fun really :) began I don't know if it was the atmosphere or what but I was getting stations from Central VA at least three hours from DC and even signals beyond wich I can't remember, and these were FM signals.

Take Care of yourself

Best of Luck to you and I hope the nurses in the recovery room have the good sense to be playing dance music when you wake up :)

Well good luck with for you. And lets pray to God that everything comes out fine. Ok

My best wishes go out to you jras. I'm going to be lost without my daily DX report from Port Lavaca! You will be in my thoughts and prayers, my friend. We need you back on the boards as soon as possible!

Thank you again everyone! Thursday is the big day!

Hi everyone it got called off for the time being, I got nasal congestion last night it started comming on, both the doctors and the surgen agreed to hold it off for a few more weeks or months. I was looking forward in getting this over with. They said it wasnt a emergency surgery, but I dont want to wait till it is. Got to get back in bed. Thanks again for the support I will be needing it when it all comes together again!

Well buddy for God nothing is inposible lets keep on praying and hope that you never need thatt surgery.

I remeber when I had hernia infection on my testicles, the doctor said I needed an operation but God said noooooo. I had prayer and that infection was gone.

That is definitely more than we needed to know.

Ok seriously... I enjoy reading this board because I love radio and am somewhat involved in it at times related to what I do. Mrtexmex, you really need to learn some board etiquette and learn how to properly communicate. This comment (although probably intentionally so) was inappropriate and is not needed on this board. You also have this bad habit of perpetuating dead threads and creating new threads on topics that have already been/are being discussed. I have always said that since I am not in radio, I behave as a guest on here... you should do the same.

If I am am the only one who feels this way, then please let me know.

To sum it up... think before you write.

BTW, jras I am glad your surgery was postponed and I do wish you the best!!!

Problem is Stan, we all wish MrTexmex WAS!!!!! ;D

JRAS, I have had heart history in my family....(dad had 2 heart attacks before his death at 50 and his dad died of a sudden attack at age 63)...and I KNOW how scared and concerned I get thinking about my own heart and any issues...I have suffered from a hernia (hitial?...never can spell it right) that gives me pains in the left side that feels like chest pains...especially if I am under a TON of stress...have been in the ER 5 times in my life because of it...finally got a nuclear stress test done last year after an ER episode.....pics came back and heart specialist said no difference between rest and under stress (this was my 2nd test...1st one ten years ago, I almost collasped on the treadmill...this time, NO PROBLEM!!!)...WHEW!! so I am relieved!!! BUT always on guard....(remember Jim Fisk, marathon runner, who died from a sudden heart attack)....

Take care of yourself and keep us informed of your progress (I too have terrible sinus problems....gives me grief at night and causes apnea at times)...
