I am very Shocked

Mix 107.7FM is playing the 13 minute Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird Live. I never have hear lynyrd Skynyrd on mix before and of the mix stations.

So what does that tell you when a station plays something radically outside its format? This is exactly the kind of thing that happened when Mix 107.1 in Cincinnati took over from the first incarnation of Channel Z. Top 40 started slipping into an otherwise alternative/new rock format.

This is the whatever weekend. They play anything and everything. I have heard them play Johnny Cash, the dixie cups, and then that guy who sings Rhinestone Cowboy in the same set.

Shows ya just how much attention I pay to the Mix stations. :) I had my hopes up, too. ;D

The day when a legend like Glen Campbell is refered to as "That guy who sings 'Rhinestone Cowboy'" is the day when we all should slit our throats in anguish at the ignorant programming state of the industry.

New liner card for 2007: "Just ahead on Mix 107...that guy who sings Rhinestone Cowboy..."

You mean Kiss 107 FM,not Mix, which has been at 94.1 since it flipped from Wink

During middays - IT'S THE GUY WHO BEAT TANYA TUCKER UP

I remember after Glen got busted in Arizona...got into a bit of a scuffle and wound up smacking a cop with his knee. I announced on the air that it was Glen's first hit in more than 20 years.

Yes, I know, we all saw this comin' down Broadway. What can I say.
