I blame Eric for the demise of the Regular Guys!

He didn't stand up and say no to Larry when the whole "Porngate" incident went down. And he probably didn't stand up when Larry came to the show and said, "Guess who I just taped in the bathroom?" Eric knows when a bit is wrong, and can get the show in trouble, but he hates confrontation, and PROBABLY could've stopped this bit from ever airing. Doesn't matter if he thinks he didn't do anything wrong, and that he was wrongly terminated, the bit should NEVER have aired.

Shame on you Eric!

I've always wondered...what are Eric's initials? Like are they E.V.H.? But that doesnt count his middle name. So does he have 4 initials in his name? If so, that doesnt seem very fair because most Americans only get to have 3 initials. And anybody else notice the week that Israel bombed a German ship outside Lebanon that Larry took down EVH? Conspiracy man, conspiracy

Right, it's all Eric's fault. Larry has no personal responsibility at all. Excellent point.
You don't get it... Larry is his own worst enemy. He doesn't see the ramifications when he's emotionally charged up about a bit. You need someone to diffuse him. Eric SHOULD be that guy. It's the only person that Larry MAY listen too. Losing one segment is better than losing your gig! It is purely speculation, but I'm betting Eric wasn't big on the idea of airing that segment, but he didn't do anything about it!

When all the finger pointing is over could someone tell me what was so wrong about the bit TRG aired?? And how did this actually caused harm to Yogi & Panda?
Now before anyone gets their knickers twisted. I did not hear the bit. All I know it was about a taped conversation that Larry taped in the bathroom, and he mocked it
on the air.

Larry needs to take personal responsibility - true...and so does Eric. Larry can be a bulldozer and run over everyone around him when he thinks he has a 'great bit' that will contoversial (and therefore keep listeners), or even if he thinks it will piss someone off and get more people to listen to him. Larry has an enormous ego - but that is what makes him good at what he does. Eric avoids strong emotional confrontation with is 'business' partner - and therefore does hold equal culpability when it comes to putting a bit on the air that may be illegal, immoral or against FCC decrees. Larry deserves to be fired for that bit - you don't put recordings on the air without permission. He isn't covered by the same protections as a reporter or news service. He's just an entertainer.

this might be more about yogi and panda's complaining and threats than the bit itself... they've actually said that they would drop the lawsuit against CC if they agreed to never hire the reg. guys again in atlanta or any other market. i'm suprised CC would be held hostage by these guys.

Maybe not for the reason he thought, but Insideradio was absolutely correct.

Now it comes out that Eric had already made it clear that he was done with TRG and would not re-sign next year. Eric would have killed the show anyway. That fact had to be part of the decision to axe the show.

Best of luck to Eric, but I think that Larry Wachs, Tim Andrews, and (insert name here) could be as good or better if they land a gig somewhere else.
