I called it...again!

Last week I predicted one of the four new morning shows (Cletus, Mess, Zakk or Giant) would be gone before Larry Munson says “touchdown.” I am getting rumblings that there will be a tryout next week and not for football. Will the tryout be a “hit” “and” will management “run” with it? Maybe we will all be “hummer”-ing a new tune in the 13th “colony”?

Captain Obvious over and out.

Neil, I'm just curious. Some time ago, you posted that DAVE-FM will be stuck with Zakk Tyler for at least 2 years. Is your latest prediction consistent with that statement?

Calm down Neil.. it's just a vacation fill in.

I didn't predict anything new; I just passed along some info that made it to my keen ears. Did I say, Zakk Tyler will be fired, replaced or get a blood clot? In fact, my post said noting about Zakk Tyler, you are the one who mentioned it, not me.

As for my record of predictions, I am the one who predicted that The Regular Guys would never work in Atlanta again. No one else had the guts to make that one and as you can see, I was right.

Well if CC is going AC with 94 9 after baseball, we all know there is a local show available. ;)

It's not me Tibbs.. What are you sayin though? That I couldn't compete against the TRG's? Ha... You're right.
Now put me in afternoons? Hmmm...

Neil, you're very amusing when you cast your bones and read your tea leaves. ;D

I heard you last show at Album 88, weren't you drinking bones and tea leaves in the final hour?

BTW, Andy at 92.9 still has no Elvis in him.

Re: Jimmy Baron and Yvonne Monet are fill ins for Zack and Jane

I got this note from Will Davis, the promotions guy at Dave FM:

Next week while Zakk and Jane are on vacation, Jimmy Baron and Yvonne Monet are the temporary, week-long fill-ins.

That is very interesting. I will listen more next week than the last 6 months.

Wait a minute, this actually represents a good programming decision. Is DAVE under the same management? And why wouldn't they just run a week of The Best of Zak...er...never mind.

Bone dry martinis? That's definitely a possibility.

Rev. Andy is returning to rockabilly radio next Tuesday night when I become the newest co-host on WREK's Longboards and Longhorns show. Tune in next Tuesday at 9pm and hear my Elvis.

Didn’t I say there would be a live show that was getting a tryout and you all doubted me. WHY?? When have I ever been wrong?

Jimmy and Yvonne are an interesting combo. Jimmy hits the target demo but has little musical knowledge. As an ex-Chicagoan who worked at the same station that brought us Zakk (WLUP-FM) maybe there is connection there. Jimmy and Mara Davis are both Jewish and the same height so the seat won’t need to be adjusted when Jimmy leaves at 9:00am. Atlantans will be able to get early tee time since Jimmy will be off the links. As for Yvonne, I rather likes her at 99X and DAVE. Can’t wait to hear Neil Diamond on DAVE.

How does this affect Jordan Gaye?

There was that time you claimed that the Police weren't going to play Atlanta on their reunion tour.

I didn't see the "alleged show." Just like a referee in wrestling, if I didn't see it; it didn't happen.

Finally a reason to check out Dave again. Welcome back Jimmy.
