I've gotten several messages about the passing of George Rossi the last few days.

Why can't this forum pick up on it?

I worked in the Binghamton market while George was at the helm of WAAL/WKOP, while I was at a competing station.

This guy (Rossi) had to be a more upstanding manager than the one I worked under—one who traded a home and furnishings, with spots I played during the overnight hours! Bernie Madoff would've been proud of that (my) manager! GO GLENWOOD! Live at ESPRIT!!!!

This is ancient history to most, but surely there are some who remember and can return this forum to some sort of a living pulse!

Anything new on a 2009 broadcaster's reunion, if there is going to be one?

There was mention of George's passing here: http://www.scaptura.com/radio/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=390 last week.

As for the reunion, plans are underway for an early fall reunion. The date has not been officially announced, but should be announced here and on my site when plans are firmed up.

Go ahead...you can find the courage to say it....Good Ol' Hank Strong. BTW...Hank's brother is an ordained minister! Talk about white sheep/black sheep. Actually I sort of liked Hank. He was a crumb, but he definately had his moments.

As far as George "Santa Claus" Rossi...he was a fine guy. Good manager & a good man. RIP George.

George Rossi was a stand-up guy. A great boss to work for. Check out the messages left about him at these website:
