Last time I heard that song on the radio, Dandelion was doing overnights on Z-107.

Has he played Phantom 309 by Red Sovine?

PS-White Knight - funny song - liked how the voice changed in the song ;D

i leave for a while and i see nothing has changed humwing... "not meant to plug" .... yeah right lmao. thanks for the laugh when don't u take the opportunity to promote stale radio lol.

I see Repti you are also of the opinion that if it isn't commercial radio, then it automactically sucks! I mean heaven forbid that someone who volunteers at college radio station may actually play fogotten music of the 70's and 80's that the "major stations" in the Valley don't have the brains to play! But hey who cares it's only college radio!

you are correct auntiem! if it weren't for stations like WGPA, WDIY, WLVR, WMUH, WXLV, and KUR, i wouldn't be listening to regular radio at all. those are the only stations i listen to besides satellite and internet radio and they're all non-comm except for WGPA, but they're a whole rare breed of their own. i am listening to KUR right now on-line and they're running their automated weekend "cafe KUR" format. in one hour, i heard Eddie Rabbit, MC Hammer, Michael Buble, Kenny G, Paul Davis, Kim Carnes, Frank Sinatra, The Temptations, Elvis Presley, and Enigma. top that playlist on commercial radio.

These boards should be renamed the WGPA fan club, total members 3. "OMG! WGPA played a B-side! That's awesome!!! We need more of that on terrestrial radio!!!" (Sarcasm off.)

Seriously...it may be fashionable here to bang on commercial radio, complain about remotes, promotions, so-called "stale" programming, but here is the truth: the non-coms and WGPA don't matter to anyone outside of these boards and maybe 5 other people. There's a reason why stations are programmed the way they are...it's called attracting an audience...as large as possible. That audience represents a vast and diverse portion of the local populous and they actually (gasp) listen to the commercials!!!

Contrary to the opinion of some, commercials provide a valuable service to many who are looking for new restaurants, special offers, and entertainment options.

While I agree that we could do without hearing Boston's "more than a feeling" every day on 4 FMs, the fact remains that people actually like familiar songs...that's why they are called "hits."

If playing completely random songs from every artist under the sun would attract and retain audience, everyone would do it. It doesn't.

The transmitter is not someone's personal plaything. This is big-boy stuff. You may now resume bashing commercial radio and heaping praise on satellite and non-com...and WGPA of course.

I certainly wasn't trying to bash commercial radio. I listen to them for local weather, news and traffic info as well as Delilah at night. I have nothing againist Commercial radio at all!

What I do have a problem with is when someone who has probably never even heard Chuck Morgan's show automatically puts it down and calls it "stale", simply because it is on a college radio station. If more people would volunteer, not just at non-com radio stations, this would be a much better Valley to live in. But we, myself included, get so wrapped up in our own lives we forget to help others. So I hate to see anyone who is not thinking about themselves to some good in the world get slammed for no good reason.

You listen to Delilah? This is the most nauseating show on the radio. I told the owner of the laundry place to turn that dreck off when Im doing my laundry. She makes my blood boil! And the Jabronies that call her! "Oh Delilah I met a wonderful man last week." baaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

auntiem.. u completely missed the point of my comment... it was bashing humwing in general caus he does nothing but plug himself. i'm all for college radio.. in fact most college radio plays better music than u can get on any clearly fading channel, or nassaus we shoulda stayed in the bahamas... or citadel.. we're just like the college football team that lost like 30 something in a row stations.. so clearly u were off base..

Sorry Repti not buying it. You're just trying to make yourself look good now cause someone figured you out and called you on it

I was working in the "wilds" of NH when the CB music craze got rolling with "Convoy. And we did play"The White Knight" along with "Teddy Bear". One CB song nobody has mentioned is "CB Savage" by Rod Hart.

Not a good chance of hearing it today...not PC at all!

are u really that blind?? i don't need to make myself look good here ... trust me lol.

Thanks repti! I'm blind just like Lady Justice! I'm just trying to stop an unfair attack on Chuck Morgan, whom I'm sure you've never listened to or even know!

auntiem.. not only are u blind.. but your iq is slipping further and further down the toilet with every post... your right on one thing.. i don't know who chuck is.. so that's why i didn't comment on him.. i commented about HUMWING... and even he's smart enuff to know it... ... humwing loves to promote himself.. and that's is what i commented about.. so pull your head outta your backside and get a clue. sheesh.
