I can't believe what amateurs Gresh and Tanguay

These two are unreal. I just heard them decide to devote a CLEARLY-PLANNED segment to when Brady will start his decline during his current contract, which is not an unreasonable question regarding someone who is 34. The problem is, neither knew that he is 34. I knew that, as did probably many amateurs in the audience. These two "professionals" came back from commercial to start the devoted segment, and Tanguay thought he is 32 while Gresh was closer at 33. Only after a short period of time did a producer clearly whisper to Tanguay the correct answer. I mean, seriously. While I never thought they were good, this is utter amateurism. A couple of 13 year-olds who won a "Host for a Segment" would have been better prepared.

I don't mind Tanguay so much (I thought that he got the raw deal when they axed him in the mid-day). Gresh on the other hand? What are they doing over at CBS? I'll tell ya. You can hear the fat in his voice.

Today, they had rap battles with fellow SpotsHub jocks. They couldn't do any worse than what I heard today. Hate to say it, but it almost made me yearn for 'EEI.

It made me turn to WEEI today, sad to say.

Who said you had to know all the facts if you want to host a sports talk show? That sort of thing happens everywhere, including the No. 1 market. Many times I would listen to "Mike and the Mad Dog" on WFAN and hear them get facts wrong or -- and this happened frequently -- tell the caller "I didn't see the game" when watching the game in question (involving a local team) would have interfered with their personal lives. I don't remember them ever getting ripped them for that. People tuned in because they were interesting, combustible personalities, not walking sports encyclopedias.

No, the O.P. has a point... you would think if they are devoting a segment (or an hour?) to Tom Brady's age, they would actually know how old he is.

How much trouble is it to do a google search? How long would it take--- maybe 10 seconds? ::)

The nice thing about this web site is that full-of-themselves media hacks will come here and see the ridicule heaped upon them.

What we know about media hacks--amoebas of society--is that they can't stay away from mirrors, buffets of free food, and blogs that focus on them.

I don't think I've ever seen even one positive thing written about Gresh, but he still has higher ratings than Muttnansky. How much longer before Jason Wolfe admits his blunder?
