With KTAR going to morning to midnight traffic and weather, KFYI has to do SOMETHING to confuse the listeners. That's how they program (see "The valley's news, traffic, weather and bad Barry Markson talk station").

To do this, of course, they will have to convince Rush and Hannity to take a breath.

I'm just glad KTAR is doing sometging that A: raises the bar in the news talk battle and B: further establishes their identity as a news operation. Even Cantillo knows when it comes to news coverage, KFYI just can't keep up. Same way when it comes to talk, KTAR is way behind.

This will be fun. C'mon, Laurie...don't let us down...

The Chick Boss learned a few years back that news & talk are the same in most listeners mind. If you're talking about things that matter, then you're doing news. KT'R still doesn't get it and adding traffic reports 'til midnite won't change a thing. The men in secret underwear don't know how to talk. And with the FOX10 partnership, KFYI's news image is as strong or stronger than KT'R's.
