I couldn't agree more

It’s not dead, just in transition. The problem is corporate ownership and decision makers that have no vision. There are a few people that have their eye on the ball, like Holland Cooke.

no, IT'S DEAD, the decades spanning relationship with the public, handed down from generation to generation has been broken by greed and bone headed decisions by the know nothings in charge, and that relationship will NEVER be renewed... it's over, grab your toys and go home

You could say the same thing about America. What a positive vision my father instilled in me at a young age for this nation and its future. And at the time he was correct. But now? Its government, media, universities, press, and much of its people are a disgrace. The great melting pot of feces and waste.

I agree that things are bad right now, but the pendulum swings both ways. We’re already seeing signs like the cc deal falling apart and public rejection of crappy corporate radio. There are more choices now and the business is changing. Those who change with it will be fine. The rest can watch on the sidelines and reminisce about the good old days.

the business can change all it wants, new technology has kicked radio as we know it into the dust bins, the internet/ipod generation won't suddenly come running to advertiser based radio as it was,if you think differently, you're the one having a 'good old daze' fantasy;the party's over...
