I didn't know nickleback's someday was considered a soft rock favorite

I was flipping station and heard someday and looked at what station it was on it was on 106.9

I was surprised they are considered soft rock favorites. I bet louie has been hurting them i would consider that there main competition.

Quite a change considering they use to play the carpenters and barry manilow. Not your grandmas soft rock lol I also heard tainted love please all that 80s pop i can do without. Thank god the point got blown up!!!

I guess the soft rock genre is being redefined in the 21rst century pretty soon we will here you shook me all night long.

Many if not most AC stations do play that song.

In my market, the classic rock station does, too! I certainly can't say that Nickelback is a CLASSIC ROCK artist!

They tweaked their library after the Christmas marathon. Don't worry, Patrick. They didn't pick Tainted Love for you. They picked it for the bored 35+ year old chick at work, lol. I also believe they've dropped the "fovorites" term from their brand.

Craven dude ya hurt my feelings i thought they did it just cause they knew how much i missed 103.9 the point i guess i will be okay ;D

You rock dude just what i want to here and after i wang chung i will put redneck 105.1 for some mudvayne what more could a man want ;D

I don't know now but they have in the past. Hotp that being me wants another alt station besides wfpk to listen to. Lrs needs to blowup!!!

Lite 106.9 loves them some prince today. And they played if you leave.Craven here again you got them to play all the tunes i miss from the point Defenitely not your grandmas soft rock. ;D

When you target a certain age demo, you have to adapt. For instance, when the Fox came on in 93, we were geared to 18-34 year old males. Back then, we were playing AC/DC, Aerosmith, Tom Petty, ZZ Top, Boston, Foreigher, Skynyrd, Van Halen... We don't play any of those artists today because we are still geared to 18-34 year old males. Even though some guys in that age group today may enjoy some of those artists, the majority do not. I guess VEZ is a female version of the Fox, lol. I crack me up. ;D

I like 106.9 these days. That is the strongest Louiville FM at my girlfriends house near north of Austin Indiana, I also get Kiss 98.9 really strong there. I cant get Louie Fm 100.5 very well because their is a country station on 100.3 that likes to squash it out, and I can actually just barely here 102.3 there, cant get 107.7 very well either and I dont listen to Kiss, so I almost always either listen to DJX or 106.9 if im at her house, unless we happen to drive to Louisville, then I listen to 99.3 if its on air, or sometimes WFPK or 88.1, but 88.1 plays some good music, and some crap.

A.C. stations have not had Manilow or the Carpenters as part of their music mix since the mid eighties. A few of the Nickelback songs have been staples on mainstream A.C. stations for a couple of years. In fact, if they don't have a steady staple of MB20, Sheryl Crow, Goo Goo Dolls and other similar groups in their mix, they're considered about 5 years behind the times.
