I Don't Know Why I Expect Better of NECN

I don't know why I expect better of New England Cable News, but they've been around a long time and have people there with a long background in local broadcasting. But at noon today (Tuesday 02/02) they led with the headline: "Murder-suicide in northern Worcester County". Ooops...the locale was the town of Westford, MA, MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NOT WORCESTER. Chances are they've fixed it by now.

Westford is partly outside of I-495. Must be in the Berkshires then. ;-)

Westford is squarely in Middlesex County and doesn't even border on Worcester County.

I'm also suprised NECN would make such a mistake, since they cover the rest of New England far better than Boston stations.

I wonder how long it took WMUR-TV to correct their graphic that said SOLIDER KILLED on their news yesterday. It's not the same type of mistake, but sloppy nonetheless.

Aren't they owned by Comcast? Enough said.
