I.F. ceramic filters

Where's a good source for either the Toko or Murata 110k ceramic 10.7 IF filters these days? (It seems that Digi-Key only has the 150s without buying massive quanties) My plan is the put a 150 in the first slot and a 110 in the second in my old Yamaha CT-610 II. Is this a good plan if I can get the parts? Will it work OK with both of them being 150s? (I don't care about RDS, MPX stereo, or the SCA.. a bit of distortion would be a good trade for a cleaner signal)I did a bit of compairing between my old Yamaha and a Pioneer SuperTuner IV car stereo. The SuperTuner outpreformed the Yamaha on adjacent channel interference rejection. Should I try the crystal filter mod to further improve the Pioneer too? Thanks for the info!

See my post over on Engineering - I haven't tried Mouser yet for the 110's, but seeing as how standard FM deviation is +/- 75 kHz, there should be some degradation with 110's - but not as severe as you would think. I have three 110's in my home setup, and the selectivity is phenomenal. Still some bleedover from strong locals - but if there is any signal receivable at all - the AGC drops the bleedover and I have reception. IBOC messes things up a bit, but I can put locals in the side null of my antenna and still get some adjacents that way.My Pioneer Supertuner 3 outperforms everything else I have compared it against - they come stock with two 180's and one 150 - changing all to 110's is a tremendous improvement in selectivity and sensitivity. AMAZING stuff! Weak 106.9 and 106.5 punch through next to local 106.7. I've done some 300 mile regular listening - not DX - with this radio! Although not where I live now. That was Daytona Beach, FL listening to a 98.3 from South Carolina next to a local 98.1 there.

Wow! Thanks for the info! I have a Pioneer SuperTuner 4 that's about the best thing I've got so far for adjacent channel rejection. I haven't done the filter mods yet on any of my stuff. I'm going to try changing out the two filters on my old Yamaha tuner and see how that compairs against the Supertuner IV. I'm thinking I'll try a 150 and a 110 in it..
