I got an invitation! ...should I?

In the mail today was an invitation to come back to Sirius-XM. They claim to have turned my radio back on till the 11th, they'll reactivate my account for free and I only have to pay $25 for 6 months!

I gave up the subscription because there really isn't a good place to mount the tuner in the car I bought last year. Using the iPod in the car is rather cumbersome at times. Local radio as bad as it was a year ago as the local stations in my market target younger listeners. Some of the local, free FM stations have gone from bad to worse!

So...should I do the deed? What do you think? I'll even put up with less than stellar audio quality and find a way to mount the tuner in the car. I might at least give it a try during the free period to see if I like it.

Go for it. It was the same 6 for 25 offer I received several months back that convinced me to re-activate my mobile tuner (I use the internet to listen at home). Local radio mostly stinks in my area as well, so going back was worth it. 8)

Thanks for the input. It's an XM Roady XT and it needs the ground loop isolator connected which adds more bulk to the install. It's going in a 2007 Camry. I don't have a lot of mounting options. Any ideas appreciated! The newer cars don't give you a lot of extra space.

I use an XM portable tuner. Power from the DC Adapter (formerly cigarette lighter), throw the antenna on top of the dash (close to the window), input via the Aux inout. Since I live in the Southwest, works great.

I already have the Ham radio stuff taking up room. Trying to find a way to keep the wires neat and out of the way!

I am not one who tries to do HF while driving (but I do use a screwdriver as a vertical at home) so the only thing I carry is dual band HT for working repeaters. I prefer listening to the music while driving.

I don't do HF mobile just 2m/70cm/D-Star.

If I can get a mounting location figured out tonight I'll do it!
