I Got WJR!! Plus other new loggings too! 2/5/2010

Tonight was a great night!! I got the following stations!

760: WJR Detroit, MI!: Heard Dr. Laura mentions at 9:05PM tonight. Matched what WJR was airing!
Distance-1925 miles!!!!!!! New state and new logging!!    (Not as much caffeine tonight :D )

Also got these other loggings!
1380: KTKZ Sacramento, CA: Fair signal under KRKO (that was nulled) with weather forecast and a promo for a talk show (unk.) on "AM 1380 KTKZ". Heard at 6:05PM tonight.
Distance-641 miles!!

980: CJME Regina, SK: Good signal tonight over CKNW (rare to null out and get an ID off of something else, other than KVLV Fallon, NV's country at sunset!) with TOH ID "News-Talk 980 CJME, the news starts now". Heard around 8PM tonight.
Distance-815 miles!!

Crain -- Coupla things:

Curious: Had you ever gotten either/both 940 and 690 Montreal out by you when they'd been on?

I suspect that with CBU occupying the joint, the old CBF (and whatever it's call changes) must've been darned near impossible. Dunno about 940. I know well that 'Coastal situation' .... having been on Long Island for quite a while and trying to hear places such as Idaho and British Columbia. It must be quite similar -- maybe worse -- on the West Coast, hoping for NH, ME, RI, VT, DE, et al.

Second: Are you sure that the distance to Detroit wasn't 1924 miles? Or 1926 miles, hi? What reference are you using for distance?

I'm using Radio Locator, typing in my zipcode, using the "find stations between _ miles of your location, typing in 760, maximum mileage 2300 miles, and finding WJR Detroit at 1925.4 miles.

Also, your other reply, no I didn't get CINF or CINW when they were on 690 and 940.

The only 690's I got were
CBU Vancouver, BC
XEWW Tijuana, BCN, Mexico
KRCO Prineville, OR

The only 940's I got were
CJGX Yorkton, SK
KWBY Woodburn, OR
and an UNID spanish station, likely KWRU Fresno, CA

Also, my fourth new logging of the night, which I forgot to post

1040: WHO Des Moines, IA: Poor-fair signal with CKST nulled with weather forecast and ID "News Radio 1040 WHO". Only my second Iowa logging!!
Distance-1470 miles!!!!

In Fredericksburg, VA, I have gotten the WHO calls on my Sony XDR-F1HD's display, the farthest IBOC/HD DX reception that's strong enough to do so at night at 871 miles.
