"Top 40 will have to take Kanye West seriously."

Well, hmm, let's see here, is it just me or is "Gold Digger" gonna jump above "Because of You" (Note, Shake It Off is only gonna be #1 for a little bit longer, a few DAYS)

It WILL be number 1....and be on the lookout for the next single, "Heard 'Em Say", the duet with Adam Levine from Maroon 5. Speaking of Adam, he's hanging around with a lot of hip-hoppers; he does a song with the Ying Yang Twins and does a couple of songs with Alicia Keys on her Unplugged CD...Check out the remake of the Stones' "Wild Horses".

He probably thinks he's ghetto or something. Maroon 5 does have sort of an R&B sound to them.
______________

LOL, it doesn't mean he's ghetto. Kanye isn't ghetto, his hop hop style is more sophisticated. Alicia Keys sure as hell isnt ghetto, and she isnt even Hip Hop. She's just a really good Pop/R&B singer.
Basically Adam is doin the same thing Gwen Stefani has been doing for years now - collaborating with other Pop artists (Moby, Eve).

Yeah, it seems I missed that one.. I just couldn't hear something that the masses would embrace, particularly after his comments on national television in regard to President Bush, when the song first came out. I'll be the first one to admit that Gold Digger is currently in power rotation for me and probably will be for a bit ;)

BTW, I never said I didn't like the song, my friend. I had simply said that I didn't think CHR/Mainstream would embrace it. :)
______________

I also heard you play Nickleback's "Photograph" on Friday night while I was driving through Marion (on my way to St. Louis). You weren't too fond of that one if I recall, but that song is obviously huge, especially in the Midwest.

Adam also have some Dance creds as well, thanks in part to Maroon5's "This Love" remix getting played a lot of these days at KNGY/San Francisco.

I think "Gold Digger" has a great vibe to it. I loved the beat.
