I know this might sound trivial but one would think they would have a windscreen* on his mike. There are "Ps" popped just about every time he opens the mike. I get the audio chain can handle them now but on a top 10 market station is it necessary?

Am I the only one who hears this? In the cheapen environment that is today's radio does matter?

*After COVID but one would think each on air person would have a personal windscreen. I had my own windscreen after I caught the flue in 1977. I kept it in my briefcase my with show prep. I have been accused of being germ nut but I never missed an air shift after that flu episode.
 
I can't remember who it was, but someone on Atlanta radio complained about someone else's windscreen being full of tobacco flecks because they dipped on-air, and I think they resorted to having their own mic and windscreen because the other person's mic and associated gear was so gross.

I'm gonna guess it was Neal Boortz complaining about Clark Howard's windscreen! :ROFLMAO:
 
I worked for Bellsouth/ATT until I got tired and retired. I used to go to people's houses, work on their inside wiring and then hand them a bill. I can't remember how many times in the 90's that people would tell me that Clark Howard said that they shouldn't pay for the Inside Wiring Plan because it was a waste of money and they couldn't understand why I was charging them so much. I always told them to contact Clark Howard and have him pay their bill.

I know someone who met Clark randomly in an ice cream shop, she said he was a super nice guy.

Just like any form of insurance, you are betting again yourself.

The house always wins.

If you add the decade's of payments the company makes money even if someone has to fix a jack. If you don't pay the mataintaince fee, they win if something that's engineered to last a hundred years goes wrong.

BTW depending on your house insurance policy, they will fix lightning damage.
