97.9 The Beat, "beat" the mess out of K104 in the latest ppm ratings. I guess that's why some of the mixshows have disappeared off of K104. Mixshows are usually the first casuality when K104's ratings drop.

Sounds like The Beat took some lessons from The Box in Houston.
 
Always nice to see a competitive urban station battle in Dallas or another city. Often makes for fun listening.
 
Looked at the numbers more closely and it looks like Rickey Smiley is what put 97.9 on top this round.
 
I think both Dallas urban ACs still have less than optimal signals.

They have crap signals. With sticks way out in BFE!!!!!
 
I can tell you what's wrong. KSOC's signal sucks and KRNB can't make up their mind on what kind of urban ac they want to be. New RnB or Old School. I still think having "The Quietstorm" on seven days a week doesn't help. This is the only show that KRNB has. Nothing else but music.
