I Guess Kiss Isn't Changing Much??

Been listening and the only change I've noticed is the Imaging sounds a little different but that's it. Same old songs (not to mention they still have the led zepplin type stuff too) and tired old 90's songs. Maybe they've added a few songs here and there but to me nothings really changed much. I guess this new morning show that kicks off Monday is suppose to be the stations savior?? Anyone else notice not much change?? So much for going Modern/alternative rock. I hope their ratings continue to plummit.

Perhaps on Monday they'll have an updated playlist that will tickle your special spot ;)
 
Well, so far no change in the music. As for the show, they're not bad. It will take some getting use to. A lot more high strung than L&H. But hey, its only day one. My guess is that most don't like them already, especially the "older" crowd.
 
I listened this morning.. and I really don't know what demos KISS is going after. The morning show targets a much younger crowd than their playlist. With KTKX playing Classic Rock, it makes absolutely no sense for KISS to keep playing classic rock. I don't see how the older crowd can appreciate the morning show.
 
You know, I was wondering the same thing. Such a young sounding show but yet the playlist still blows. They gotta have something else up their sleeves cause it just doesn't make much sense. Does anyone know what happened to Kelly now? I know she had been doing mornings before the debut of billy Madison.

Probably because of the old classic rock still played on 99.5 KISS. If they want the new show to be a success, they better add some new stuff to the playlist so younger people will listen.
 
I don't know if it's me or if it's changes in the show, but I find day 2 of the Billy Madison Show to be far more tolerable than day 1.

The music has definitely gotten older... the most recent songs on the playlist are from 2004 or 2005. The majority of the songs are older than that and it looks like all the currents have been dumped. While I enjoy hearing some tracks I haven't heard in a few years, I fail to see how the morning show matches the older music.
 
I heard the new morning show today and I thought it was interesting. It kinda reminded me of the Drex Morning Show with all the sex topics but I must say, it was entertaining. With that said, I wouldn't listen often due to the type of music they play.
 
KISS never played Beastie Boys. I always got my Beastie Boys fix back in the 90s when i would DX 101X in the garage on my little boombox.
 
First time I've heard Beastie Boys on KISS. KISS is so erratic nowadays...you can hear Bad Company and Beastie Boys in the same hour. KISS is becoming Jack FM.

Don't pay attention to the Top 100 chart since they tweaked yesterday to a gold-based format.

Maybe 99.5 will be a gold based classic rocker and 106.7 will go to Alternative just like in Austin with Emmis' Stations.

New Years Day....

"The New X-1067 Independent live local" :D I guess since they have IVY Lounge with Electronic Dance Music a Hypersonic clone would be on 106.7 That would be awesome. 8)
 
Whatever KISS is or isn't changing, whatever they're doing is killing them in the ratings. All I can say is wow. A station that used to be the top billing station has made a huge plummet downwards.

It's really quite sad, KISS used to have a ton of stout. It's really a shell of its former self.
