I Have A Crazee Question???

I have been spinning around this thought in my head for awhile!!! Does anybody know of a website that pays tribute to a lot of the radio stations of the past kinda like what Kahuna has for a lot of the NC stations??? I don't have the sight to create such a beast, but would love to see something come to pass... I know that Robyn and Chimp have been doing things with Wiki, but it would be cool to honor a lot of the great radio stations that made SC radio fun... I don't have a lot of pics and such that I could contribute, but could offer a lot of history just from my vast memory that seems to hold onto a lot of important dates about radio... With the radio climate changing faster than Al Gore and global warming I would like to make sure that a lot of the great stations are remembered for many years to come... Any ideas or thoughts??? CC1

Hi Carroll,

I'd LOVE to do a tribute site for SC radio. Something along the lines of the WTMA tribute site would be great! Unfortunately, I don't have much to contribute as far as airchecks, pictures or surveys (just jingles from WNOK and WJMX).

If someone wants to start gathering stuff for a tribute site, my offer from several months ago still stands. I'll be glad to send in what I have.

Robyn

Hey Robyn that is the situation I am in... I don't even have half of what you got... A lot of my goodies got lost from the move from me and my wifes apartment to our new house a few years ago which really sucked, but that is life... CC1

I'll help both of you compile stuff, if you like. I have some stuff and I can talk to several friends of mine about their airchecks. Good stuff! What format do you prefer?

Scott I just emailed Robyn asking her input since she has been wanting to do something like this as well... I am off to Kroger Land for work... I would like to start out with CHR from the old days to the present, but I am very open as to what Robyn would like to do as well... CC1

Since I moved, I found drawers and drawers and boxes of stuff. It will take some sorting through, but I'll be glad to contribute audio as I go through the stuff in my garage.

That sounds good Steve... I am hoping to hear something from Robyn!!! She has been wanting to see something like this take place as well... I am waiting to hear from her as to her vision of what she wants to start out with... It will be a slow process, but I think we all can work together and come up with something to be really proud of... CC1

My bad...sometimes I'm not thinking. I meant what format to you prefer any aircheck files I send? Just wondering whether I need to get Kilgo, Mariner and the others to convert their airchecks to mp3 or just burn them to CD. Or I could send a HUUUUGGGGEEEEE pancake of tape to you...hehehehe.

Hi Carroll,
