I have a question about simulcasting discrepancies

Out of curiousity, i looked at yes.com for the song log of Butterball's Sunday Night live broadcast from last night. For some reason, songs that registered for FM didn't show for AM. Why would that happen when both stations are playing the same music?

I'm not counting the songs the AM band plays during commercials for the FM band.

WDAS-AM 1480 and WDAS-FM 105.3 are two completely different stations and formats. One's 50's and 60's Oldies the other is Adult Urban/R&B. If you were looking at WDAS-FM's playlist on yes.com and comparing it to what you hear on WDAS-AM they are definitely not going to match up.

Quadpain ...

The playlists do "almost" match up, since the live program is simulcast on AM and FM.
Fakeem was wondering why it wasn't "exact" which is probably a limitation of the way
yes.com gets their feed.

My question is why did Butterball change his name to Butter? Sued by a turkey company?

Oh ok, my bad. I did realize they actually simulcast Butter's live show. Yes.com is like shazam, it listens and guesses, sometimes it doesn't always get it right. It also get's some data from the automation machines. Since it's a live show and simulcast, Clear Channel's RCS system would only be pumping out a now-playing feed from one station, the other automation system would be on hold, leaving yes.com to decipher a playlist for one of them.

Unfortunately, this is too late to help find the info for Sunday evening, but for the future:

Mediabase.com 24-48 hour playlist history for WDAS-FM (no link available for WDAS-AM):

If you want to plug in the date (only "today's date" and "yesterday's date" will work), use the link below (replace the "5" "22" "2012" where necessary):

Thanks pjc1961, i'll check it out. Sometimes yes.com will leave out current songs from WDAS-FM, so hopefully this will help.
