I Hear... CBS-FM Trended Upward This Trend

I hear from another source that in the trend to be released today, CBS-FM trended upward. Now, the trend will be officially released later this afternoon. You KNOW where to get that information, so please don't cite any information from the trend on the board.

You may, however, "talk in tenths" without citing official ratings, if you wish. With that said, I will say this: In the full books leading up to the latest trend, their 12+ rating went down a tenth of a point.
______________

CBS-FM in New York City

Entirely from Oldies format-- they didn't flip to JACK until 2 weeks ago (this trend was thru 3rd week or so of May).

Discreet month of May, 90 days into format, #2 in total market 25-54 (#1 English station). Most efficient 25-54 generator in English in the market.

Shock value. Give it till this time next year or six months from now. I think the fascination with Jack there is it was the the biggest Jack station to sign on yet until CBS FM flipped. In market number 2, before that where? Dallas? market number 5 and Dallas is not a market that is ever talked about anyway. It does not have the cache of NY, LA, or even Chicago. Give it time I doubt that station will maintain those numbers it was a huge curiosity remember.

Correct. The novelty will wear off and even Jack stations will eventually begin to repeat. They too will have their "favorites".
______________

Yes, they are doing well in LA and will do ok for now in New York, but you got to remember these are different markets and different stations. Remember that CBS FM is or was the number one station in the nation and had a good reputation and built up a reputation and heritage for 33 years.
______________
