They should get at least union scale.
SAG-AFTRA argues that AI clones of members should get union scale or at least some level of member compensation, at least during their lifetimes. That was one sticking point during the last strike.

Not sure how this applies to live theater, but I'm sure Actors' Equity would argue the same.

Fair. Yet, in this case, not sure of his union status or anything like that, but my query was more generic, I suppose.

What might that "member compensation" value be? $1000/week for the duration of the season? $2500/week? ❓

I mean, the nostalgia level is what's driving the use of this specific voice. How much does that cost NBC Sports?
 
I would bet a cup of Burger King regular coffee that the heirs are getting what he would make if he were alive (less union dues). If they aren't, they should go public. Couldn't you imagine the social media feeding frenzy about billion dollar corporation not paying a widow or heirs for using her late husbands voice.
