I Heard Buzz Burbank On WHFS-AM

On Monday afternoon during a commercial break for "The Dennis Miller Show" in the 4 PM hour, I heard a local PSA for some animal organization voiced by none other than Michael J. Elston, a.k.a. "Buzz Burbank" on the old "Don & Mike Show" which used to be heard on WJFK for years until they flipped to all-sports. Currently, Don Geronimo is waiting out a contract with CBS which expires in October, and during that time, has done guest DJ shifts at WCBS-FM in New York, among other things. Does Buzz/Michael have a similar deal, or did CBS hire him back to do this read? (FYI: Buzz currently appears on Mike O'Meara's podcast show.)

Buzz also does the voiceover for a national Sylvania headlamp commercial. I heard it on TV down here in Mississippi and nearly chocked when I heard his voice. :)

The PSA was probably recorded outside of the radio companies' studios and may play on other stations as well.

FWIW Don's supposed to be back on the radio on KHTK in Sacramento starting sometime, with streaming and podcasts. That ought to be interesting. I've kept up religiously with the Mike O'Meara show but have been out of the loop with Don's whereabouts.
