So that's interesting. Let's guess it's Radio One picking up Infinity stations and they spin off two to get them... which ones do they spin off? 95.5? I am guessing they would want to hold onto 96.3. Maybe 95.5 and 107.5? Put Power on 96.3 to tweak it to more Mainstream Urban and Urban/AC on 107.1? Magic stays on 98.9 and Joy on 106.3.
Entercom then comes in with 95.5 and 107.5 and put a CHR on 95.5 and a Charlie on 107.5 (like
http://www.1051charlie.com/) which they have in Madison, WI and Portland (
http://www.charliefm.com) It would be cool if they put a Modern Rock on one of the signals too.
The only thing I don't like about this scenario is Radio One keeping 107.1 since it is based in podunk Circleville and I would wager Urban/AC in Circleville isn't going to fly. I can't see them keeping all the prime signals to themselves though. I mean they spin off 107.1 to Entercom and Entercom puts their blend of Active Rock on there to replace The Big Wazoo (keeping the moniker perhaps) but I have to guess Entercom is going to want some juice to go along with that. Another station with fair to middlin' coverage (95.5) of the Columbus Metro isn't going to cut it. It should be interesting how the pieces fall into place.
