This is part of an Infinity format change called Free FM. This will not affect Seattle, but it is having an effect already in markets like San Diego and San Francisco. These are underperforming classic rock or rock stations that happened to carry Stern. They are now switching over to an FM talk format. Stern's flagship station in NY and 103.7(?)in San Diego are switching to this format. For example, the San Diego station now carries Leykis in the afternoon and The Triplets (LA based midday show). So, it looks like a few shows that were not previously syndicated are now going to be syndicated
I can't explain it as well because I'm not a radio guy, but if you go take a look at the San Diego board, you'll see what I'm talking about.
This won't effect the Buzz since they're not Infinity, nor will it effect KISW.
However, in a perfect world, the Men's Room would take over in the mornings at either station.
