This outfit sucks, they send me to Delaware Monday, to do paperwork at WSTW, nice new white strobes they added on their two 500 footers, but why???. I come back and get the word I am history, why would they let a secretary go, cheap bastards. Remember this, M.T. is the only one left, he was a real good boss, his history is with Rock outlets, not SJ, do the math. Will the Rockers who exited this board get their wish....probably.

By M.T's rock experience, you mean WIOQ? That was a long time ago. WIOQ made the flip to oldies in 1987. In the year or so before the flip Tozzi was involved in a great deal of the new age/smootjazz/atmospheric stuff they were playing at night. In fact, he also hosted a syndicated show (which ran on WIOQ) called The New Era which embodied the new age format. It made sense that he fit so well at WJJZ. A new rock station, even if it played older stuff, would probably not be good fit for him. IMHO.

Thanks for the kind words Bob, I am just an average secretary, nothing really to do with radio, just happened to land a job with this outfit, which was the media business. I was informed to be quiet on here or I will never work in this area again, LOL, yeh, they will give me a bad reference. I already found another position, NOT IN F'N RADIO. Just remember how MMR is re-positioning their sound as of today, a bit harder and cutting, good bye sleepy classic stuff. This is in tune with the new kid on the block moving in. If anyone wants info message me, I will tell you all I know, I don't want to get the people who run this board in a bind....

I remember a secretary excuse me.....administrative assistant who climbed the ranks at WDRE.

You might know her name...MARILYN RUSSELL

Hummmm... Either be quiet or you won't work again. Sounds like extortion to me. If they give you trouble you can always contact Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. I'm sure they would love to hear about that. And FCC would like it too - might be a great thing to enter in the EEO filing at the end of the year.

Hope all goes well for you. Good to hear you are out of radio. It isn't fun there anymore.

where is she at right Now ???

they may plan to run the stations with a very small staff at very low pay. after all----they are ---- Cheap Channel Inc.

Two problems with this post

One CC doesn't even own WSTW so why would they send a receptionist down there to do paperwork???

Two no receptionists were fired from CC. One office person was fired and she was definately not a receptionist.

And something else interesting - the remark about working for Chancellor/AM-FM 10 years ago, then look at description under 'her' name "27yo female". So that would mean 'she' started working there full time when 'she' was around 16 years old.

What do you think? A 'stem' alright....

Yep, a good ol fashioned TROLL! (and to think I bought into it!) ::)

(Gulp...) Sorry to say, so did I until the post above pointed out those two discrepancies.

Oh well, harmless fun I guess... Laughing all the way to the... ummm... ahhh... whatever.
