All I did was say that All Access had a blurb regarding a possible return of oldies to NYC. I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT WPLJ!!!! Yet, somehow, that post got all blown out of proportion into mutiple threads about WPLJ, Scott Shannon, True Oldies, etc. Here's the thing, THERE IS NO, AS IN NONE, ZERO, ZILTCH EVIDENCE THAT ANYONE, WPLJ IN PARTICULAR, IS GOING TO SWITCH TO OLDIES!
Guys, I hate rumors, and I wish I had never posted the original story. I know how much you want oldies to come back, and I can't blame you. But please, let's be careful about going too far with something. I recommend we wait until there is more news. But don't assume that just because Scott Shannon runs an oldies channel that WPLJ will be the station that goes Oldies. I believe that Clear-channel owns stations in NYC too, and I have yet to hear ANYONE consider any them!

That's because all of the CC stations in NYC are doing good. Besides, CC doesn't flip stations to oldies, they flip stations FROM oldies.
