I knew it would happen!!! wcbsfm

:) Dan Taylor's Morning show #1 WOW!!! Congrats to a friend of many years, Hey DT I knew you could do that. ;D Keep up the good work, and Sue O"Neil filling in for him sometimes, She is the Best!!! WAY TO GO!!!!! ;)

I hope somebody rubs this news in the face of Joel Hollander, Chad Brown and the other jackasses responsible for the events of June 3, 2005. I still miss the hits of 1955-63, but we can't have everything.

Bruce

I know but its better then that J word. I would like it more family related again, but that will not happen!!! O well!!! I always loved DT when he took over for Harry, He was the Man for that job!! Dan Daniel would even say it!!! :)

OOP"S, spelt Sue's Name wrong, sorry Honey its Sue O'Neal :) as I said she fills in for the morning show, Its always a pleasure to hear her, The Girl's club love her!!! :) Thanks SUE!!!

I'm not sure if you should blame Chad Brown for Jack. I think he was just following marching orders from Joel and Les Hollander. I do not think blowing up CBS FM and replacing it with Jack was his call.

An FM music show .... personality at that .... finishing in the winner's circle. In this era of talk migration to FM. Imagine that.

Btw, if Dan Taylor is on the earie : Thanks tons for that 'Steve Green' sonovox voicer! I still don't know what to so with it, since I'm no longer on the air. Maybe I'll use it as a phone answering message, or to open up the computer.

A big tip of the earphones to Dan Taylor!

Outside of the "outsourced" TOH news from WCBS-AM - one day it actually started with a full-fledged ad for a certain lip balm and a plea to go to their Facebook page... nonsense! - DT and the crew do a commendable job and have earned this feat.

@Mary: Sue is also heard regularly on weekends, if I'm not mistaken.

Honestly the hits of 55-63 would have been purged from this station by now even had they not flipped. CBS is EXACTLY what a Greatest Hits station should sound like in 2012.

I think there should be a specialty show of 1955-63 hits instead of the Dick Bartley countdown show on Sunday night. Norm N Nite and Don K Reed could be alternating hosts. There is a Doo Wop show with Harvey Holiday on WOGL in Philadelphia on Sunday nights.

Bruce

Or they can have the 1955-'63 show after the countdown...Really, who listens to disco music late on Sunday Nights? Their disco/ dance show should be on Sat nights instead.

The '55-'63 show would be a great idea. Get deep into that era, play some lost 45's.

GOLD, the UK's equivilant of WCBS, played a whole hour of music from 1958 yesterday. Sounded great...the Teddy Bears, the Coasters, Elvis to Perry Como....some real 'Magic Moments' in there!!
