and Ricker are talking like they had the genious to create a new lineup out of the blue. "So much more attitude this, and so much more attitude that......"

Has anybody told them that they are replacing "Mr. Attitude" himself, and that's why this whole thing has to happen..........

All the KISW back-patting from within is making me sick.

Out of the blue!

Yesterday's rubbish morning show fired, a decent midday talent moves to mornings, mediocre nighttime hosts move to PMD, and the kingpin of the whole GD format gets kicked to the curb! Giving rising hosts better timeslots - a new concept indeed! Make a note of that.

I'm a huge advocate of local talk, but first, this isn't talk, and second, the format doesn't demand local. KQBZ didn't talk about Seattle city council races, trash pickup, zoning issues in Everett, etc. If Tom Leykis or a syndicated morning show can better talk about hot topics, why pay THREE people to do it?! And the Men's Room is still playing music?

I realize WHFS/Baltimore did the same thing, trying to merge rock with talk and making the newly freed-up station something different, but it seems to me to be just an effort to cushion the failing rock format nationally with some of the FM talk personality. Outside of that godawful morning show, KQBZ was the best FM talker in the country.

Wonder how much Leykis adores Howard Stern now...
