Funny thing is the online section of the show is really funny and I think they could do alot more with it.. go Pugs and people.... Ohh and F$#@ Russ martin ;D

I like Pugs and Company too. The internet portion is my favorite part of the show. What does it say about Dallas radio that 85% of my at work talk-radio listening has become shows on the internet?

100% of my music radio listening at work comes from an internet feed of an Arizona rock station... Dallas radio sucks. The music sucks, the hosts suck, the morning shows are terrible. Bleh.

I've tried to listen to Pugs in 3 of the various incarnations (105.3 (I think), 1360, 1190). I've never found it entertaining at all and his voice is the most irritating, not-right-for-radio, chalkboard scratching, scream inducing....argh

I dig the Pugster. So much better with this new team. The boy has been around the block and knows what he is doing. Of course if you are a Beck/Limbaugh man you are not going to enjoy any sort of pop culture chatter that doesn't include taunts of marxism/socialism/death panels/etc. He is not trying to save the world or cure cancer. Just trying to give the listeners a laugh or two in the am.

I have listened to his shows on different stations, and frankly, I just don't think he's very funny or entertaining. Just my opinion.

I used to like Walton and Johnson...Bo and Jim are getting a bit dated, but I still like em, they're goofy. But, in general, I'd prefer to hear good music as somebody trying to ram a particular political position down my throat.

Basically the show is like an informacial on radio...unlistenable! John Clay Wolfe is too funny!

JCW, that's my boy right after pugs. Today, the Wolfe was talking about his gun toting racist grandma, and Ronny Dio singing Britney spears and frank sinitra licks. 500% radio gold, this boy will be the next Howard stern/sienfeld. He's the chosen one. Place your bets now.

You've been tooting his horn for months. And in those months I've seen absolutely no effect of JCW on any ratings. Any time frame on when he's going to be the next Howard Stern/Seinfeld?

I've only got a few years left before retirement, If I place a bet, I'm just wondering how long it's going to take to pay off. Because at the rate his show is growing in the ratings, it'll be 2210 before he has the ratings to rival Stern...

Pugs has really grown on me over the years (never was that crazy about Kelly). The main reason being his real life really plays out on his show. He talks honestly about his career failures, money problems, interpersonal relationships with family (wife) and friends. He's not boastful and full of himself. His show isn't full of phony bits, treating your coworkers like crap, bragging about how much money he has, only to go home and beat his girlfriend like common white trash (Russ). He doesn't claim to be looking out for the common man, branding every educated liberal politician an elitist...all the while putting his 14 million dollar eastside gaudy New York apartment on the market (Rush). He doesn't cater to soccer moms, pretending to be the perfect husband. All the while (rumor) running around on his wife and ends up in divorce court (Kidd). He doesn't deny a huge part of who he is to cater to a certain demographic (Jagger).

What I like about Pugs and Co., is when he and his crew are just sitting around talking, it's not much different than when my friends and I do the same thing. It's not groundbreaking life changing entertainment, but I can almost always relate. He's just doesn't seem like a big phony putting on an act like most people on DFW radio.

He forwarded me the May PPM's, he has a 4 Share on M25-54 Saturday mornings, and his new show on 1190 went from bascially 100 AQH from the April Country format to 900AQH with JCW daily nooner (no real promotion, and a shitty stick) No he doesn't have big ratings, but the boy just began, hasn't even had a full year in DFW, and jumped from The Fan to The Eagle after 6 mos, plus launched another new show a month ago. I'm just saying keep watching, this boy is a stepper.
