"I LOVE LUCY" ON HALLMARK CHANNEL

There has been absolutely no mention here about the fact that "I Love Lucy" has jumped from TVLand to Hallmark Channel.

What's interesting is how Hallmark Channel severely scrunches the end credits to the right of the screen to run their own promos over the end music.

I think most cable channels do that now. Some I have even seen running the end credits of a show in one "scrunchy screen" while simultaneously starting the intro to the next show in another! God forbid that they should waste a second of precious commercial time on actual programming, right?

I was watching on Hallmark the other day, and to me it seemed that they were using a smudgy second-generation film print. At least TV Land was running a nice, clean, digitally restored image.

The Turner networks, particularly TBS and TNT, are notorious for that, except for a lot of their original programming.

Are they back to the "old/new" opening that aired for decades in syndication? That's one thing I'll miss about TV Land's "Lucy", is the original openings/bumpers (without the Phillip Morris ads).

It seemed to be the standard open/close.
