I LOVE XM 70's!!!!!!!!!!

After listening to this horrible Sirius 70's channel for the past couple of years, I finally gave up on the bad dj's that talk too much about nothing a person over the age of 20 wants to hear, way too many interuptions between the songs, a bad, clunky mix of classic rock and disco music, and pop music that is noticibly missing from the music line-up.

I have found the BEST programmed 70's channel ever. XM. Check it out...I didn't know it sounded this good...no one told me and I just never thought to check it out. It's worth every penny. No stupid old DJ's trying to sound hip and relevent with sound effects and fake laugh tracks. Instead they have "people" that talk maybe once or twice per hour. They sound like a real human being, not late 70's CHR DJ's.

The music is UNBELIEVABLE!!! We've been listening ALL weekend and have yet to hear the same song twice. We hosted a dinner party for about 30 people on Saturday evening and EVERYONE was commenting on the music. The OH WOW factor is off the scale. One great song after another. I didn't think a station could sound so good....

Goodbye Girl David Gates
Ruby Red Dress, Helen Reddy
Wild Wood Weed, Jim Stafford
(I've Been) Seaching So Long, Chicago
Space Race, Billy Preston
Evergreen, Barbra Strisand
I hear you Knocking, Dave Edmunds
Bad, Bad Leroy Brown, Jim Croce
Heartbeat, It's a Lovebeat, The DeFranco Family
Afternoon Delight, Starland Vocal Band
Love is Alive, Gary Wright
Baby, I love your way, Peter Frampton
Shake Your Booty, KC and the Sunshine Band
Half the Way, Chrystal Gayle
Kong, Dickie Goodman (yes, Kong)
You are so Beautiful, Joe Cocker
Lyin Eyes, Eagles
You're 16, Ringo Starr
The Logical Song, Supertramp

the list goes on and on of great 70's songs that bring back great memories. Good Job XM!!!!

Chris, I have to agree that the XM 70's on 7 is a very good channel, however, I have a few concerns. With the catalog of music available, there is no reason not to play the "extended" versions of songs, like "Signs" by The Five Man Electrical Band. I have heard it a few times when listening, and it opens at the edit just before the vocal. On the other hand, First Class' "Beach Baby" is always played as the "long version" with the orchestration at the bridge, as is Blood, Sweat & Tears' "And When I Die." There are also some "lost" 70's songs I'd like to hear, such as "Games" by Redeye, "Fool If You Think It's Over" by Chris Rea and the full version of "She's Gone" by Hall & Oates.
Otherwise, hearing the AM edit of Three Dog Night's "Joy To The World" with the guitar riff is refreshing to hear, because it doesn't show up on thier "Greatest Hits" CD, and "Save It For A Rainy Day" by Stephen Bishop came out of nowhere.
I'm trying to keep the signal constant right now and am probably missing some great songs.

I have to agree. I heard an edit of Do you Feel Like We Do by Frampton yesterday afternoon. It wasn't the label edit by no means, very choppy.

Good news, I heard Chris Rea "Fool If You Think It's Over" late last night, so it's in rotation. I'm just still blown away with how good XM 70's is programmed.
