I miss a Jammin 105 type station: internet radio alternatives?

I miss a Jammin 105 type radiostation in NYC. Which internet radio station have the exact format and jingles, processing of that station in this world of internetradio?

You may recall Jammin' 105 was run by Joel Salkowitz, who most recently has been running the terrestrial and online versions of Pulse 87. You may want to drop him a line and ask him if he still has his hands on some of the old WTJM/Jammin' 105 imaging. Either him or Famous Amos. Both of them are on Facebook. Good luck!

Sorry but I don't ask for jingles only for a sort of jammin 105 like station on the internet with the same music and great jingles and processing.

OOH! I can answer this on...RHYTHM 'N' GOLD! Run by Famous Amos & Anita Bonita themselves...with jingles, processing, and REVERB! Better music selection than the original Jammin....

http://66.231.176.184:7020 is the URL.

Rhythm 'n' Gold is nice indeed, also some Jammin 105 jingles on this stream so I wonder why not turn this station in a jammin 105 tribute station? I thought that Famous Amos posting here also so who knows ;)

Is that right? I wonder why they don't promote it on their Facebook accounts as often as Howard Hoffman does with his Great Big Radio (no relation to my own water-carrying in my current signature ;D )...

I dug Jammin 105 towards the very end, when Frankie Blue was running it :). It had a deeper disco/r&b feel with the "New York flava" in there...

Didn't Jammin' 105 have some tagline toward the end, "the home of Motown and soul" - it was something along those lines... Maybe someone can chime in and help me out...

(Hi, it's Famous... no idea how this farcocktah board put me under this screen name, but hey, who cares?)

I have a better idea! Let's bring back JAMMIN 105, as a "tribute station" to Rhythm & Gold!

Have a Happy Day! ;D

I remember when they said "It's not your fathers oldies station".

Yes, I remember those liners from when WTJM first signed on...

Welcome, Famous! Now that you say that, I can stop staring at the username trying to figure out what it means! I guess "FamousAmos" was already taken?

I remember "Jammin' 105" when it was "Jammin' Oldies" from 1998 until 2002 before it went urban as "Power 105". I miss that station. But I also remember WBPM's original at 94.3 when it was "Rhythm 94.3" playing the same thing which was "Jammin' Oldies". That lasted from 1999 until 2001. I missed those two stations in both New York City and in the Hudson Valley listening area that listened to "Jammin' Oldies" all the time. And I forgot to mentioned Al Bandiero's "Jammin' Party" syndicated show which was the show that I missed so much.

Let's hope if "Jammin' Oldies" will come back soon.

Apologies for reviving a dead thread--I was actually searching for a R-I post recommending the station I'm about to recommend now, a 'Jammin 105' operated by someone out of New Jersey. I love it, and I think its fairly close to what the OP was looking for:

And speaking of "Jammin' 105", WEBE 108 has a Saturday night dance show called "Studio 108" and they had some great music just like the way it used to play on "Jammin' 105" and "Rhythm 94.3" many years ago. I also have an aircheck of 5/18 show with a tribute to Donna Summer, but I want to post that later.

um, a little addition/correction in order - Jammin Oldies Radio is run by Big Tom Lawler, a NYC/NJ/LI Radio Market veteran - and I believe that Famous Amos STILL has something to do with this one also.... 8)
