Since nothing is really going on in this market, I thought it would be kinda interesting find out what radio stations everyone miss, and why. I will kick it off:

I miss 100.3 Jamz, because of the great imaging, best personalities, (Al B. Bad, Baby G., MC Jammer, Ken Bell), and the hottest programs, (The Thunderstorm, Under the Covers). I also enjoyed the good music they played

KLIF - the mighty 1190
KBOX 1480
KFJZ 1270
KXOL 1360
KZEW 97.9
KEGL 97.1
KAFM 92.5
KVIL as it was 25 years ago.
KNUS 98.7 when it was album rock
KERA 90.1 import rock show from the late 70's
KMKI and KAAM with GOOD C-Quam stereo audio
WFAA 570 AM stereo music
KRLD 1080 album rock show in the early 70's
when 104.1 was clear and you could hear KRBE from Houston
when 93.7 was clear and you could hear KLBJ from Austin
when 850 was clear and you could hear KOA daytime
when 700 was clear and you could hear WLW day or night
before 540 came on the air and you could hear McLendon's KTSA 550 from San Antonio

K104 (back before Hip-Hop Ruined It)
100.3 JAMZ
97.1 The Eagle
98 KZEW The Zoo
106.1 The Oasis
94.5 The Edge
Memories 96.7

and most of all KVIL Highland Park, KVIL-FM Highland Park, Dallas-Fort Worth!!!!

I miss KRLD-1040 ::)

I forgot to mention, I miss KNOK with Dr. Rock. And FYI, I have plenty airchecks of 94.5/"Edgeclub 94" and KDL.

Labella and Rody.

Bill Mack's All Night Road Show....

Ron Chapman, Suzie Humphries and Sandy Hopkins.

Don Day.

Get up and go! with Don Harris.

Hello Win Column!

KIXL 104 on both dials.

KCNC 870 with Charlie Williams' "Western Express" from noon til three.

The "Saturday Night Shindig" on WFAA 570 8-10 PM Saturday night, then 10:15 til midnight on WFAA 820, especially the 10:15 to 10:45 PM segment on TQN

Guess I'm telling my age.

Mark Holtz... God Rest His Soul. One of the best I ever heard. I keep hoping that he will be honored with the Ford Frick Award and be enshrined in the Baseball Hall-Of-Fame. I'm glad they still honor him after every Rangers Home Win, by putting it up on the Jumbotron.

WOW. That's like saying, "I hated it when WRR-AM first signed on the air, because my grandkids wouldn't stop bugging me to go out and buy a radio." ;D

I'd add Z-97, KFJZ and always KTXQ Q-102 and The Zew, KZEW.

What great stations those were back then....

The Rock & Roll Alternative with George Gimarc on Sunday nights on the late "98 (Roar) K-Z-E-W"
93.3 The Zone
Merge 93.3
94.5 The Cutting Edge of Rock
106.7 KDL
106.1 & 107.5 The Oasis

KOAX 105.3 “High Atop Reunion Tower”
Jim Zippo & KISS-FM (The 1980’s years)
Sonny Fox & the Breakfast Club KHYI Y95

The late Mike Wolfe from KEOM (although I didn’t know him as well as I do Dr. Griffin, Mike had a great radio voice and he also did an outstanding job producing and hosting the “City High” soap opera that was aired in 1987 IIRC.)

R

KNOK WITH SCOTT WEST IN THE MORNINGS AND DEWAYNE DANCER IN THE AFTERNOONS.

K104 W/
TOM JOYNER
MICHAEL HERNANDEZ
WARREN EPPS
SCOTT WEST
BADD BRAD

Mark Holtz is one of the reasons I got into radio. We had 2 pretty damn good tandems with Holtz & Eric Nadel calling Rangers games and Dale Hansen and Brad Sham on the Cowboys.
