I need a favor for Monday (10-20)

Since I work from 7AM to 3PM, I won't be able to hear the big announcement regarding Pulse. If anyone here can e-mail to me what was said, I would really appreciate it!

My e-mail address is [email protected].

Thanks in advance!

P.S. ATTN: Board Admin - you can delete this post on Tuesday, October 21st.

So, people, what was the big anouncement? I’m a radio DXer from outside of the NYC region, but I like to keep track of such things anyway. So, did the “Pulse” stop beating? Haha.

Did they specify what time the announcement would be? I have Pulse playing in my office and haven't heard anything yet. Sounds like no format change yet. They are playing Cascada "Miracle" now.

I'll let you know if I hear anything that sounds like an announcement.

Tony is quoted in the above article. I guess he wasn't that busy today... ;D

David Hinckley and I had talked yesterday :) Basically, it was to applause Star for looking out for the dance music community while he was on Pulse as well as saying that whatever direction Pulse goes, as long as they keep on doing what they're doing...we'll be there!

I was HOPING to hear the what the big announcement is! It might be something that will be mentioned at Star's party tonight.

As soon as I can get to a computer after tonight's party, I'll post it! :)

As I stated before the link to the NY Daily News article (& stated in the article) - the "Star and Buc Wild Show" is over! ended! finished!

I would think that would qualify as a "big announcement"...unless there is someone special being hired for that (or any other) timeslot on the station.
The other part that could be "big news" (but not related to Pulse 87) would be where the "Star and Buc Wild" show ends up; per the article, Star hopes to be on a "hip-hop" formatted station sometime in 2009.

I guess that the announcement was that Pulse 87 will be playing 87 minutes of uninterrupted music starting at 7AM (presumably Monday-Friday).

Yikes. They should just break down and start the music marathon at 8:07 AM, why don't they...
