I need a new preset for the #3 button

Given today's flip to country on WYOK 104.1, there's no need for me to keep it on my presets, specifically button #3. I had a station in mind to replace it...but then I thought it'd be fun to have the Alabama board pick it instead (what the hey).

Already selected: WBLX(1), WABB(2), WMFC-FM(4), WJLQ(5), and WAPR(6).

A few of my candidates, though you may suggest your own:

a)classic hits WHOD "Dixie 94.5"
b)DX'ed reception of urban WBFZ "Z-105.3"
c)oldies WPFL 105.1
d)classic rocker WRKH "96.1 The Rocket"
e)any clear FM channel for transmitting an MP3 player or satellite radio

Suggestions? I live in Monroe County and can't pick up everything in this beater Honda, so choose carefully...if we make the wrong choice, the terrorists will win. (j/k)

I'd move 4, 5, 6 to 3, 4, 5 and add in E in the 6 spot.

WLTS hasn't been around in ages. It's an oldies station now (recently switched from 95.7; 95.7 is now a rock station).

X, can you get anything out of Laurel-Hattiesburg? I would suggest SL100.<P ID="signature">______________

He was refering to the top rated urban station Hot 105 out of Montgomery. Some New Orleans FM stations might make it into Mobile, but they arent going to make it up into central Alabama.

Hot 105 is such a powerful and sucessful station across central and south Alabama that I'm suprised it's not already on your presets

Oddly enough, 105.7 WZHT (Troy/Montgomery) is too static-filled to listen to most of the time, at least in my car. It's a little better at night. It's signal nulls toward the southeast, and Monroe County is in the southwest.

Z-105.3 (WBFZ, Selma) comes in clearer with half the power and a shorter tower height...the fringe signal that makes it is more direct.

Not reliably. I can get Meridian's "Q-101" (WJDQ) at night pretty fairly, however. My brother-in-law's Avalanche even recognizes it's RDS tag.
