Yes, I am going to pick on his website.In the banner going up and down. It says 88.1. Off to the side of the page it says 96.7 which is right! Then if if you click on the listen now a BIG BLUE 96.9 appears.Going on 11 days 13 hours and 21 minutes waiting for a returned phone call. ???But who's counting. ;DJust being myself..........kenny
 
Still No phone call??? Just call and pretend to be Dick Clark. ;) Come to think of it..... that probably wouldn't work at this point. You better think of someone else.
 
Yea, he picked up the phone and said I'm busy I'll call you i alittle bit. That was Wednesday night. Good thing I'm not a client wanting to buy air time.I like this kid but like everyone else I know there all nuts or I'm the one that's nuts and have to get a little nutty. :eek:
 
He sounds like a chick who avoids calling back because she doesn't really like you..... but she doesn't want to come right out and say it. NOBODY is that Busy where they can't take two minutes to call you back. If you are really interested in talking to someone you just pick up the phone and do it. There isn't a person in this world who can't make time for someone they are truly interested in talking to. Anybody who says they are to busy is just using that as an excuse. TRANSLATION: You aren't a priority and you arn't even important to me. I would rather be doing 5,000 other things besides talking to you. It's happened to all of us Kenny. He's just purposely avoiding you.
 
I know how he is and I was busting his chops by posting.I'm not the only one he does it too.
 
Oh... I am SURE you arn't the only one. Typically when someone doesn't know the proper way to deal with people, they tend to treat most others like that as well. I'm not saying that he's a bad person. I don't even know the guy. However I can see that he clearly has some problems in the Communication Department. Unfortunately I tend to see a lot of people like that in Radio, who need to take a course in human relations. Then these same people wonder why they are stuck in small town Radio their whole life. The way they treat people holds them back and they don't even realize it. By what I've seen, The people who actually take the time to call or write you back are the ones who have made it Big. I sent a letter to David Letterman once. Mailed it to his house. He could have been a jerk and ignored it. But he did something totally unplanned. He wrote me a letter of appreciation back for my kind words, then he sent me a Christmas card and gave me a "Late Show" shirt as a Christmas gift! I didn't ask for any of this! It just goes to show you that someone who appreciates you and takes the time out for you will always do better than a person who ignores others like they can't be bothered.Jay Leno makes it a point to personally call people back who are offended by something that he says on his show. He's another one who "HAS A CLUE" and knows the fine art of Human relations. Another example: My Mom won an extremely gay looking pillow one day at some sort of Bingo Game. It was Very red with the word Love written all over it. She didn't want it. So I told her that I would give it to someone who I knew would appreciate it. So I sent it to Richard Simmons house. Not even a week goes by and I get a letter back from Richard who is literally glowing with excitement over this stupid pillow. I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT!!!!!! he says. Then he goes on to tell me that he put it in his special room that he made for his Dalmations and that they sleep on it. It made me feel good that at least he appreciated it and took the time to let me know. All these are reasons why it almost sickens me when I hear stories of some PD or GM of a little tiny radio station in market 200 get a Big head ....... and claim that they've been way to busy to call you back. It's nothing short of pathetic! Some people just get it and some others just don't!
 
I've had the HONOR of knowing Chris since I was 13 years old, it's been ALMOST 10 years since I made my VERy first phone call to him in Westerly.Chris always gives me the time of day and will talk for a minute even when he's kinda busy! I know for a fact sometimes Chris is running around doing 50 other things. His intentions are good, but things happen.I actually look up to Chris, as a broadcaster..... he did it and so can I! ("own" stations)..... Now before any criticzes me on the comment about Chris owning something, I know he doesnt "technically" own WKIV or WBLQ-LP but it took him a good long while, lots of patience and money to get the stations up and running. It also requires alot of dedication, perserverance and long hours.How many of us can say that about what we do for a living?
 
I never said that he is not dedicated or devoted to his job. But it sounds like he posseses the negative quality that many Broadcast executives do. "The NO TIME Syndrome". How about getting up 10 Minutes earlier (or) stop talking to your friends on the phone at work. Perhaps turn off Regis in the morning. Then you'll have plenty of extra time. There isn't a soul on the planet who doesn't have the time. It's just a lame excuse that you give people who you don't have a strong desire to speak to. It's Pure Bull. Nothing more. Nothing less.

besides kenny, how many of you on here have met Chris more then ocne and spent time with him to see what he does during the day.. hmm? not many of you if any at all, I'm surehowever, I have. This man sells sponsorships like crazy, he works his ass off. yes, some of his sponsorship messages come real close to ads.. I'll give you that, but Chris isn't out meliciously and willfully breaking the law with any pre-determined intent. He's a good guy al laround and I wish some of you would stop knocking him. Could you be put in his shows for a week and do everything he does?
