I noticed something about WBT

Notice how much better Bo Thompson sounds when McCrory isn't there?
Kenny Smith was in today because the "common man" was on the phone from the Kentucky Derby (Yeah, apparently it takes more than 36 hours to get to Kentucky).
Anyway, Bo sounded more energized, sounded more engaged with Kenny. He's given up on Pat and I can't say I blame him. Pat talks over him, says the wrong thing, mispronounces words.
Bo has stopped helping him and is just a traffic cop in and out of segments, he hardly even interacts with McCrory anymore.

It's a shame, Kenny Smith would be so much better of a co-host with Bo instead of the guy who never puts in the time or effort to the job.

Having nothing to do with content I noticed just how good WBT sounds on WLNK-HD2. The audio sounds great!

That's how I listen to WBT on my home radio in Spartanburg County. 107.9HD-2 has a strong, clear signal whereas the AM signal on 11.10 has static in the house. I can also pull in 99.3HD but mostly listen to main 107.9HD and the HD2 channel.

Regarding content, WBT has just added Bill O'Reilly midday update and commentary from former FOX News host, and Pat McCrory will be substitute fill in. Supposed to be like Paul Harvey, but I liked Paul Harvey and never really cared for O'Reilly. Too arrogant and condescending.

I was speaking with someone at WBT about another matter recently when the subject of the HD-2 came up. We were saying the exact same thing. The audio on the HD-2 sounds very good and it gets out like bad news on 107.9.

For some reason management thinks HD Radio isn't a thing even though almost every new car comes with HD Radio. The only time they say anything about it is on the top of the hour IDs.

Oh well.
