I've just noticed that Power 98.3 has been sounding rather fresh lately, and I'm loving the fact that the new music on Power is now (at least seemingly for now) in higher rotation with less hip hop recurrents from 2008, 2007, 2005...etc. being "too heavily" sprinkled in. I don't see any harm in pointing it out or mentioning it here since I doubt anyone is reading this and thinking "Oh really? Ok THAT'S IT. Throw that old playlist line up away folks - we are going to do the exact same thing" and then filling up their recycle bin(s) on their computer. After all, the saying is "there are no secrets in radio".
Besides, no one else is going to come out and say it, so I might as well be the one to mention how I feel about it on a personal level while also hoping that their current sound helps ratings & revenue-wise, more so than the moderate to heavy recurrent sound they carried throughout the past year did. I believe a higher rotation of up to date & new material sounds better on Power.

I already know what some of you are thinking... but... think about it this way; When you have a girlfriend, or mate of your desire, you still tend to see and hang out with other people you like from time to time - and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that or giving them compliments - if you're saying what you truly feel as a friend! That doesn't mean you're "cheating" or "not staying true" to your "main squeeze". It just means that you appreciate certain qualities in other.... things too.
