This is pretty amazing. I wasn't aware of an oldies station in the area but I was getting a fuzzy signal which seemed to be interfering with WMUU at 94.5, a station that has come in really well over the past several years.
And I'm not talking about 1590. I have picked up that station where I go in the mountains, but it was probably a different motel where the power lines don't cause so many problems. But the radio I have now won't pick up anything above 1400 or below 92 FM.
To understand the significance of this, at the motel where I stay now, the only Tri-Cities station with a dependable signal is WRZK. WQUT is fuzzy and I'm not even sure I'm picking it up half the time. WXBQ and WTFM are usually non-existent. WVEK has a listenable signal. None of the Greenville-area stations except WTPT have a really good signal. The Asheville FMs are strong, though.
