I really don't care about radio anymore

First, PLEASE do not use the "<" symbol to show end of quoted text. That prevents everything below that from being quotable in replies. (It's a HTML thing.)

ah, thanks for the tip. I did not realize that the ending greater than signs was fatal to HTML.

I hardly consider it apples and oranges. And so what if satellite is positioning itself as a replacement? In my part of the country there is very little in the way of local orgination and I determined it was worth a few bucks a month for greater variety and no commercials.
