I recognize that name...

I had a gig tonight at Wheaton College. While walking by their radio stations' offices, I noticed the name Peter Q. George (to whom the offices were dedicated), which I recognize from this board. I talked to a Wheaton employee who didn't have much information, but told me that the station wasn't currently on the air. Peter, what's the deal?

The Wheaton College station (WCCS), a Part-15 FM Stereo/webcaster station is on 24/7 streaming on the web. Since the college is on summer break, it is automated for the duration. It will be spruced up for the coming fall semester, over the summer months. Please check it out when school returns in session in late August. Thanks for asking.

Are they currently broadcasting on 96.5? How does their automation work? Why didn't I see the meters moving on the console when I walked by the studio?

Hi Will:
Please drop me a line at [email protected] sometime this coming week. Thanks. BTW: Do you have any relatives who worked in Boston radio, by any chance? Just curious.
