5 years ago I was visiting my girlfriends family in Scranton at the time. Nothing much else to do is Pennsylvania but play Slingo on AOL and register for Radio-info.com. So that is what I did. I've actually been here longer, but they revised the board and made everyone register again. Hard to believe it's been 5 years already though. Have a safe and happy 4th of July everyone!!!

Over 5 years here (I Was RealdealedbealRapking, New Board register, Now Rapking ), and still b--ching about Boston Crappy radio Dial .

Yes...so we've noticed....and noticed...
I'm curious. You (rapking) have alluded to having a radio background at some point. Were you on-air? What market and approx. when if you don't mind answering.
One other question for inquiring minds...what market do you feel has the best commercial radio? Thanks.

I dont want to I.D. myself( dont want my Bridge to burn ), So I will guess tell you thatI work a short time at Kixx 106( Now Hot 106 ), Helping Kixx set up there summer Concert series at Rocky Point. I saw How The radio Biz work. I didnt like it, so I Quit and started my own business . My ex-girlfriend worked at Radio One Hot 97.7. I told her , have a second plan, Dont make this radio job your career. She didnt listen and Radio One let her go. What market do I feel has the best commercial radio ? Shreveport LA . I love Urban Music ( R&B,Black Gospel,Hip Hop,Urban Oldies ) and Shreveport LA is Full of great Urban stations .

Thanks, Rapking. I wonder, though, if you'd have different opinions of how good or bad radio is if you loved working in it rather than hating it. What are some of the "good" stations in Shreveport? I'll check them out if any have web streams.

Congrats on your 5th anniversary. After reading your recent posts on "The Best Of RI", I can honestly say you know less now than you did 5 years ago.

Than you should be the man to educate me. What exactly did you have a problem with me saying? Let's see if you have an actual reason for this post. So far I see none.

Calling the "Best ofRI" fixed shows how much you don't know
You don't have to agree with the readers choices but don't insult the publisher, John Palumbo. He's an honorable guy. The voting was done either by mail-in ballot in the magazine or online (one vote per address). I hear this was a record year for votes due to the online voting I'm sure the incentive of a Weekend Getaway to BI helped.
Just because you don't like the winners is no reason to bash the process.

I'm bashing the process because I think that it's a terrible one. Especially after another member here has mentioned that the winner simply wins because he is friends with people at the Magazine. Sounds fixed to me. If you've got a bone to pick about that specific point than I suggest you connect with the member here who claims this is true.
