I Still Miss Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men

Say what you will about Sheen, but the show just is not funny without Charlie Harper.
Kutcher's character Walden has become so predictable and boring.
Cryer's Alan Harper went from being the butt of Charlie's warped sense of humor to just being pathetic.
"Berta", who I thought had some great one-liners, hardly appears anymore.
Angus Jones' character of Jake went from being a cute kid with some funny lines to a pothead.

Check this show off my "don't bother to watch list" for the 2013 season.

I have already cancelled this show from my DVR list. Ashton is just plain annoying, and so is his girlfriend (the one with the british accent). Alan used to be funny, but they are way overplaying his "patheticness". And as you said, Berta has virtually disappeared from the script.

I was thinking about that during the Jake retrospective that was shown during the season finale. The show is still "OK", but I'll take child Jake vs 18 year old Jake any day of the week. He was so funny when he was younger.

With regards to Sheen, yes, the show was better with him as well. Even after 24 episodes, the dynamic between Alan and Walden seems so awkward. Alan has turned from a guy down on his luck who got the short end of the stick to someone who is a pathetic sponge unwilling to better himself. And now that Jake has graduated, he doesn't even have the child support to ride on anymore.

I also miss the Charlie-Rose dynamic that is gone. And the rest of the supporting cast that made the show so great is also all but gone this past season. Oh and add me to the "Don't like Walden's girlfriend" club as well.

With all that said, it's still a top performing comedy on Mondays. Would be hard to cancel it.

I second that. Charlie Sheen's character, combined with Jon Cryer [Alan] and younger Jake, made for a very entertaining sitcom. But by the time Charlie's last season took over, the decline started. Now, with stupid Ashton and the pathetic version of Alan, and almost nothing of Berta, and a young adult Jake, I haven't watched one episode in probably five or six months. It's pathetic. Cancel it already!!

My niece went ballistic when Charlie Sheen was removed. I can see why. The reruns on WPGH-53 and elsewhere still are hilarious. The first-runs with Ashton Kutcher have funny moments but nothing that makes one want to stick around. This show clearly jumped the shark at some point since Sheen's "Winning" breakdown.

The first two or three episodes this year all had scenes where Walden would walk into the room naked. I noticed on the season finale, the brought back a naked walk through the kitchen by Walden.

I haven't watched the show at all since Kutcher joined. Is Allen's ex-wife (can't remember the character's name) still show up as a recurring character or has she also all but disappeared like the housekeeper?
