I sure do miss Mix 102.7

(As I blare the Don Ray song "Got to Have Loving" on my computer speakers)

I find myself typing all disco artist names into youtube with varying degrees of success. I wish there was a good disco stream somewhere.

Check out Sirius 37 The Strobe. Classic Dance 24/7.

It just boggles my mind...has something fundamentally changed in the NYC media market? When I first moved to new York in 2005, there were three disco stations: an italian disco station, a black disco station, and a gay disco station. Now there is a one new-school disco station full of static. Can someone please explain to me why the market that supported mix 1027 music collapsed?

Nothing has changed. I'm guessing the "Italian" disco station is 102.7, the "gay" disco station is 103.5....no clue about the black disco station as there has been none...so not sure what you're thinking there.

103.5 is still there and still plays old disco along with the top 5 pop/dancy songs/remixes, so that hasn't changed much. As for 87.7, I wouldn't call new dance music "disco," nor would I say that the signal is full of static. It comes in clearly and static free in my car all over the five boroughs, thank you. Maybe people should actually listen for a change.

Brooklynd0n--You hit the nail on the head my friend. I sure do miss Mix 102.7 as well. Great djs on such as Carol Ford, Yvonne Velazquez, Paco Lopez. Great music. Lets not forget great mix shows on Fri and Sat nights.
