I think CC may be getting ready to blow up Mix102.9

They just played AC/DC! The biggest mistake was letting Lisa go and firing Tony. Format change coming... The ratings have been sucking lately and they have NO on air talent...

Mix Has Been Around for a long time.
I'm not sure what CC Could put on it that we don't have already.
Maybe Classic Country
or if they want to Take on KLUV They could try Classic Hits.

a 3.2 isn't that Bad. I Dont see CC blowing it up.

Now The CC Station that NEEDS to be killed is 1190.
Make It Cowboy 1190, Clearly CNN ain't cutting it.

IMHO, if anything, the station that MUST be killed has to be 105.3 The Fail ;D

Anyway, I doubt CC would flip Mix 102.9. Wouldn't that leave DFW without a hot AC?

Well, in any case, the flag should be lowered to half-staff for eight minutes -- the length of a stop set.

Geez, Liberty,

You don't like television on radio?

You don't have to bother with pictures.

Theater of the imagination.

No! Mix 102.9 maybe going away soon?!?!?! That's one of the first stations I listened to when I started Jr. High/Middle School.

Maybe they could try pitting up against CBS-owned KJKK "100.3 Jack FM" with an all 80s format.

...or maybe returning the smooth jazz format to traditional radio listeners in DFW.

What grade are you in now, may I ask?

I've started since 1997 so...I'm in college now.

Stay there!

That's an order.

Or they could flip to Gen-X Radio.

I vote for Cowboy (Classic Country) 1190am/102.9fm, with News at the top of every hour & weather bulletins broadcast immediately upon receipt.

I don't think Classic Country won't work, I still say Gen-X Radio.

I second that... My vote is Gen-X.

They got the 90's music all set, and I also think that the jocks on there now would fit this format.

It makes sense to me given that this is the "format-of-the-moment" that Clear Channel is putting in their markets.

it would have made more sense to flip 97.1 instead of 102.9, but that will not happen since Russ is over there now. I think the demo's on "The Eagle" would have sold better as Gen X radio than their current rock format. I still don't think they will flip 102.9 because they are not doing that bad in the raitings unless 102.9 isn't selling as well as they want it to.

Crap Channel does it again: Fire all the good talent. Put vt'ing and recorded imaging on all day all night. Change the format. Yeah that's the answer. Just like they've done in DFW and other markets.

It is truly amazing to watch these clueless owners/gm's make the same mistakes over and over again.

Yeah, their LA performance is sure a mistake. on the average for 2010 5 of their 5 FMs in the Top 10 in 25 54 in this 93 station market. KHHT bounces in and out of the top 10, of course, but the fact that they are up against Citadel, CBS, Univision, SBS and several good smaller broadcasters

And they are consistently around 8th in 25-54, and a good complement for KHKS in female sales demos...

The ratings are not "sucking" and are, if anything, a bit higher in 25-54 than early in 2010.
