You want this sort of thing, you're probably better off getting a wifi-capable/cloud networking device (newer HDTVs or media player boxes like Roku or Slingbox) and use a plugin app like pandora. It's either that or streaming netradio or possibly one of the more esoteric Sirius/XM stations. To be honest, I wish freeform FM radio (in the noncomm band at least) was still in fashion nowadays...
I understand WTAR 850 is doing respectable in tidewater Virginia with the 24/7 Comedy Network http://247comedy.com/. This could be a good format for either 950 or 610.musichead1029 said:I dunno, the Classical on WPEN-FM HD2 sounds pretty good, and begets a long TSL, though cume may be deficient. That comedy translator out in Kansas City that's getting numbers made for some good listening over the holidays. Traffic, Weather and comedy. When the news gets too heavy, Comedy 610 could be the KYW commuter listener's second choice.
Putting on a satellite-fed Standards format like Music of Your Life makes more sense!phils07 said:I think CBS should try a neo-classical/dark ambient/symphonic rock format on 610 WIP. Mark Jeffries said:I don't see that coming back anytime soon outside of a handful of stations. If free-form was to ever return in the foreseeable future on terrestrial radio, it would almost certainly have to be on AM and likely on a marginal outlet or 'non-powerhouse'. Frankly, I think going to a non-comm or hybrid revenue model could be the future for some AM stations. Have you checked out WBZH Pottstown PAhttp://www.wbzh.net/?Jefferson Lee Eng said:phils07 said:I think CBS should try a neo-classical/dark ambient/symphonic rock format on 610 WIP.
